19 Jun 2019. Epidemiological situation report, DRC Ministry of Health

The epidemiological situation of the Ebola virus disease in the provinces of North Kivu and Ituri dated 18 Jun 2019:
Since the beginning of the epidemic, the number of accumulated cases is 2190, including 2096 confirmed and 94 probable. In total, there were 1470 deaths (1376 confirmed and 94 probable) and 604 people cured;
325 suspected cases under investigation;
9 newly confirmed cases: 3 in Beni, 3 in Mabalako, 2 in Mandima, and 1 in Musienene;
11 new cases of confirmed deaths: 4 community deaths, including 2 in Mabalako, 1 in Beni, and 1 in Mandima; 7 deaths in CTEs, including 4 in Beni, 2 in Mabalako, and 1 in Katwa; and 2 new cured out of the CTE Mabalako.

Since the start of vaccination on 8 Aug 2018, 137 316 have been vaccinated;
A thorough revision of the basic vaccination data;
The number of people vaccinated in health areas: 34 226 in Katwa, 26 574 in Beni, 18 563 in Butembo, 12 441 in Mabalako, and more [see source URL for complete numbers];
Among vaccinated individuals, 37 942 are high-risk contacts (CHR), 69 008 are contacts of contacts (CC), and 30 366 are frontline providers (PPL).

Outbreak Update

United News of India, 18 June 2019 - A man with suspected Nipah virus was admitted at the Jawharal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) here [in Puducherry] on Monday night [17 Jun 2019]. According to sources, the man, hailing from Cuddalore district in Tamil Nadu, was working in Kerala.
