According to the spreadsheet data I have been keeping, the most recent information available is current as of [1 Apr 2018]:

There have been a total of:
1821 newly confirmed cases of MERS-CoV infection, including
735 reported fatalities [reported case fatality rate of 40.4 per cent]
1067 recoveries, and
18 currently active cases [those who have not been reflected in reports of fatalities or recoveries]

Since the last update (through 21 Mar 2018) there have been:
7 newly confirmed cases
1 newly reported death
6 newly reported recoveries

Information on newly confirmed cases (7 cases):
- none of the cases were healthcare workers

1- Reported on 1 Apr 2018: A 50-year-old Saudi male from Ahad Rufaidah [`Asīr region] noted to be in critical condition. Classified as a primary case with high risk exposure history still under investigation.

4- Reported on 30 Mar 2018: A 21-year-old Saudi male from Buraidah [Al Qaṣīm region] with a history of pre-existing co-morbidities. [I was unable to find this individual on the spreadsheet of newly confirmed cases so no additional information was available. It is possible this case was identified during the period 17-18 Mar 2018 when there was an unaccounted for increase in case numbers using the Saudi MOH figures. - Mod.MPP]

[In the period since the last update (21 Mar 2018 to 1 Apr 2018) there have been 7 newly confirmed cases reported - 3 were from Hufoof in Ash Sharqīyah - Eastern Region, and 1 each from Najran - Najran region, Riyadh - Riyadh region, Jeddah - Makkah region and Ahad Rufaidah - `Asīr region. A total of 6 of the 7 cases were classified as primary cases - 4 of whom had known direct contact with camels, and 1 was in a household contact.

During the month of March 2018 there were a total of 16 newly confirmed cases, 5 deaths and 14 recoveries reported. Cases reported during March 2018, were reported from Riyadh region (5 cases), Makkah region (4 cases), Ash Sharqīyah - Eastern region (3 cases), Najran region (2 cases) and 1 each from Hail and Al Madinah regions. Of the 16, 10 were classified as primary cases, with 8 having a history of direct contact with camels, 3 were secondary household contact acquired cases and 3 were healthcare associated cases - 2 in patients and 1 in a healthcare worker.
